May Day: Abodi of Ikale greets workers, thanks Gov. Akeredolu for prompt payment of salary

The Abodi of Ikale Land, HRM Oba George Faduyile has congratulated Nigerian workers in general and Ondo state workers particularly as ‘Workers Day’ 2020 is celebrated . Oba Faduyile in an exclusive media chat with thepolity.net said Labour struggle all over the world for good wages and better welfare package brought about the May Day workers celebration. He noted that workers deserve to be celebrated because they are the engine room of of every administration.

The foremost Ikale royal father also thanked Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the prompt payment of workers salary in Ondo state, adding that when a government values the input of the labour force , such government enjoys labour harmony and workers maximum cooperation.

In the spirit of the workers day celebration, Oba Faduyile appealed to the government of Gov Akeredolu to look at the reason behind the pay cut of Local government workers and primary school teachers’ salary and make necessary amends , noting that it has brought strain on the financial obligations of workers in the state.

Oba Faduyile charged workers to continue to be steadfast and to show renewed passion in their work so as to justify the trust their employers reposed in them .
