NBA election: Barr. Morebise emerges new chair Okitipupa NBA branch

Prince Donald Ajibola Morebise has emerged as the new Chairman, Okitipupa branch of Nigeria Bar Association, NBA.
He was returned elected as the new Bar Chair at the election held on Tuesday, 30th June,2026. According to report gathered, the election held online as members from their different offices took advantage of the digital voting medium to exercise their franchise.
In the result signed and made available to newsmen by Okitipupa NBA electoral Committee Chairman, Bar Tom Ogude, registered voters totalled 53 in number while total accredited voters stood at 28.
Prince Barr.Ajibola Donald Morebise emerged winner of the contest having polled 28 valid votes.
Other elected Executive members are Barr.Obadiah Balogun who had 21 votes to emerge Vice Chairman, Oluwarotimi Omomuwasan, Secretary and Miracle Onuwa as new Bar Treasurer.
The rest are Barr.Felix Falumo who was elected as Social Secretary and Barr.Arinze Ojuburu who was returned elected as new Publicity Secretary.
Fielding questions from thepolity.net, the Secretary of the Electoral Committee, NBA Okitipupa, Barr.Kanmi Akinbuluma adjudged the process of the election as credible and time saving as the digital innovation of online voting allowed members to vote from the comfort of either their home or offices. “Well the NBA Okitipupa election has held and it was successfully held as the Bar took advantage of online voting innovation.
“The election followed due diligence and it was strictly guided by the bylaws of Nigeria Bar Association. In fact the process adopted by NBA Okitipupa to elect the new leadership is not just commendable but recommended to other branches as this process was timely, efficient and accurate resulting in real time collation and announcement of the outcome of the poll,” Barr.Akinbuluma maintained.
In his reaction, the outgoing branch Chairman, NBA Okitipupa, Barr. Omotola Odusola,Esq, speaking with thepolity.net, noted that NBA Okitipupa has sustained the spirit and letter of Democracy at the bar in Okitipupa branch, stressing that the Electoral Committee has done a wonderful job.
Barr.Morebise, the newly elected NBA Chairman, Okitipupa finished from Idepe High School in 1978 as one of the pioneer students of the school. He had his first degree in Law from Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University,OOU, Ago Iwoye and followed up with a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Ibadan, UI.
Barr.Morebise was called to Bar 32 years ago and he is a founding member of Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria.
Barr. Donald Ajibola Morebise brings a rich wealth of experience spanning three decades and two years at the Bar to bear on his new leadership of NBA Okitipupa branch.
