NYSC stays – Sunday Dare.

– Awotula Temidayo

Minister of Youths and Sports Development , Sunday Dare has made it clear that Federal Government is not thinking of scrapping the National Youth Service Corps Scheme any time soon .

The Minister gave this indication in a media chat in Abuja where he averred that the scheme is one of the prominent tools for integration and national development of the country.

He said the scheme was a major strategy for fostering peace in Nigeria and Government being aware of this is not in the least contemplating its cancellation.

The alteration bill 2020 is seeking to repeal the NYSC Act and it has passed second reading in the House of Representatives.
