Odu celebrates God’s faithfulness at thanksgiving service.

The newly appointed Secretary to the State Government ( SSG) in Ondo State, Princess Oladunni Odu, a seasoned lawyer, has ascribed her success so far in life to God Almighty, who has been her strength through thick and thin.
Princess Odu whose swearing-in ceremony as the first female Secretary to the State Government held last Monday in Akure, the state capital, gathered her family, friends, political allies and well wishers together for a church thanksgiving to appreciate God for her appointment.
At the special thanksgiving service which held in her home church, Methodist Church, Idepe – Okitipupa, on Sunday, the 28th March, the Archbishop of Igbobini Archdiocese, Most Revd. Olugbenga Fayoyiwa who delivered the sermon congratulated Princess Odu for her appointment.
While quoting from the Book of Mark 14 Chapter 1, the cleric advised the celebrant to continue to give her best to God as she has been doing, noting that God rewards everyone who makes him their first love. ” Our SSG, no doubt God has been nice to you and God who dwells in the praises of his people appreciates the fact that you have returned to give him the glory for the new elevation he has given you.
“God appreciates those who come to him in thanksgiving ,” Most Revd. Fayoyiwa added.
In her ” thank you remark” in the church, Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu said God deserved all the praises and to him alone shall all praises and adoration return. She noted that God designed to single her out for the new office out of so many hence her gratitude, stressing that God’s faithfulness has been overwhelming in her life journey.
The congregation filed out to dance and celebrate with Princess Odu at the thanksgiving event .
While speaking with thepolity.net at the event, the Regent of Ayeka, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa thanked Governor Akeredolu for deeming it fit to cede such a lofty political appointment to a member of the women folk, noting that Gov. Akeredolu has by this gesture shown his commitment to the 35% affirmative action of the UNO, which recommends that government should allow women to hold quality and sensitive position . She said it is a positive sign that Gov. Akeredolu will give women their pride of place in his administration.
Amb. Sola Iji in his own opinion described Princess Oladunni Odu as a blossoming tree with branches that are productive , describing her as a mother and a strong influence not just for the women folk but even the male gender. He said her new appointment will offer her the opportunity to contribute in a professional dimension to governance in Ondo State.

Revd. Oluseyi Pirisola, Lord Bishop, Diocese on the Coast, Anglican Communion, Amb. Olusola Iji, and Hon. Igbekele Akinrinwa, Chairman Okitipupa Local Government Council.
Others are Hon. Ola Iwaeni, Vice Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Asiwaju Tony Meduoye, Princess Dupe Adetuwo, Mrs. Ebisemiju, Chief Oloyede Akindele, Chairman Coastal Hotel and many more.
