Oladunni Odu calls for more women involvement in politics.

Secretary to Ondo State Government , Princess Oladunni Odu has advocated more women participation in active politics, describing the role of women in the society as huge and unquantifiable.

The Onod State SSG gave this charge to her fellow women folk on Sunday, 14th November 2021 at the unveiling of special commemorative 10th year anniversary Magazine and the presentation of Awards of excellence to eight distinguished women as Ondo female role models 2021 powered by the Hero Magazine International.

While congratulating the awardees among whom were female regents, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa, the Regent of Ayeka kingdom in Okitipupa Local Government, Ondo South Senatorial District, Regent Amb. Funmilayo Ojo, the first female Brigadier General from Ondo State, Brig. Gen. Bolanle Esther Ajayi, Olubukola Olatokunbo Maha( Onigege Ara), and others, Princess Odu said our society has become an equal opportunity template for both gender and the world is ready to give way for women who are bold enough to take the bull by the horn and who are willing to yield their skills to develop the society.

The Idepe Okitipupa born Politician and technocrat stressed that the Administration of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has shown commitment to the development of women in politics as he has continued to support women development agenda in Ondo State.

Princess Odu who appreciated the interest of Hero Magazine in the roles of women in societal growth emphasized the fact that the Ondo State first Lady, Arabinrin Becky Anyanwu- Akeredolu has so many women empowerment programmes which have added to the quality of lives of Ondo State women and the growth of the girl- child across Ondo State.
