Ikoya, the seat of abodi of Ikale -Land came alive on Saturday,the 25th of February as Olori Grace Faduyile feted family, friends, well wishers and dignitaries from all walks of life as she celebrated her ecsape and survival from the grip of kidnappers on the 15th of January this year. The thanksgiving service held at St. Joseph catholic church Ikoya. Bible reading were taken from the book of kings 8:56-61,and the first book of Corinthians 1;3-9.In his sermon, the vicar noted that God has shown his mercy to the household of the Faduyiles, stressing that the only thing God demands from them is gratitude. while quoting from the bible, the vicar described Olori Abodi as a virtuos woman who found favor with God.He congratulated her for escaping the kidnappers’ firm grip unhurt and unransomed. Prayers were offered for the royal family, the town , Ondo state and Nigeria. Reception followed immediately after the thanksgiving service at the LA primary school playing ground, Ikoya where Biripo musical band and a high life maestro serenaded the event. Among the dignitaries at the event were the Rebuja of Osooro, Oba Gbadebo Bajpowa; Jegun of Idepe, Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye; Hon Michael Omogbehin, memeber House of Representative, and many more. In his words of appreciation at the event, Dr. Faduyile said he thanked God almighty and the entire people of Ikale Land for their love, sacrifice, support and prayers.While praying for God’s protection over every household,he asked everyone to be vigilant, stressing that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.
