Ondo state Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has asked the caretaker chairman of Ondo West Local Government council, Mr. Ebenezer Akinsulire to excuse himself from office pending the outcome of a panel of investigation that will probe allegations of misconduct levelled against him.
His suspension from office was announced through the office of the state Governor on Wednesday.
It was gathered that Akinsulire’s suspension was not unconnected with a petition written against him in which he was accused of gross misconduct and abuse of office.
The state Governor ordered the Director of Local Government Administration in Ondo West to take over the administration of the council for the time being, while a panel set up to investigate the matter was required to make appropriate recommendations .

According to the release from the state House, the state Governor maintained that the APC led administration of the state will not tolerate any traces of abuse of office or misconduct from public office holders.
