Ondo Governor Launches Push for APC Digital Membership.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has started training party officials for a nationwide digital membership registration drive. The exercise aims to build a credible electronic database for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the training in Akure, the governor said the move aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s long-standing vision for the party. He stressed the registration is critical for the APC’s future planning and internal strength.

Officials were urged to encourage, not force, members to register. The governor emphasized that the process will bring fairness, as all members will be captured under the same digital system within a set time.

The registration window is tight, closing on January 31, 2026. Trainees selected from across the state’s districts are tasked with signing up both new and existing members before the deadline.

APC’s South-West Vice Chairman, Isaac Kekemeke, stated the digital roll is key for credible data ahead of future party elections. He confirmed President Tinubu is personally driving the initiative nationwide.

The party says the electronic system will end fake membership entries and create a transparent record. This effort is part of a broader attempt to modernize the APC’s structure using technology.
