Ondo state records first covid 19 index case.

The Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu in a release personally signed last night announced that Ondo state has just recorded its first index case of coronavirus (Covid 19).
In the media release, Akeredolu said the index case has already been taken in and is responding to treatment while the index case’ condition is very stable.
He further said all necessary steps have been activated to ensure contact tracing with those the index case had contact with, noting that the state is working in tandem with the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) to bring the situation under control. While the Governor called for calm, he advised the good people of Ondo state to always adhere to a hygienic life style of always washing their hands and to always use their hand sanitizer as and when due. He noted that people are advised to stay safe by staying at home during this novel coronavirus period.

It will be recalled that Ondo state government has just constituted an eight man coronavirus appeal fund Committee in the state.

The Governor who had ordered a fourteen day lockdown closing all the entry and exit boundaries of Ondo state had also charged the good people of Ondo state to embark on a three day fasting and prayer, seeking God’s face for solution to the Coronavirus pestilence.
