Owo/ Ose teachers unite for Akeredolu

Public Primary School teachers in Owo and Ose Local govt areas of Ondo State have resolved to give a block vote to Governor Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu come October 10th , 2020. The teachers showed palpable excitement and sang in Owo dialect to welcome Princess Oladunni Odu and other members of the SUBEB board who paid them a visit at the Mega Primary School Owo, venue of SUBEB organised interactive session with Head Teachers of Primary Schools in the local government.
While opening the discourse at the Teachers session at Owo, SUBEB Board member, Full time 1, Princess Funmi Brown, who is also from Owo appreciated the teachers for their warm reception and said the essence of the meeting was to ask them to vote their own Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu for second term. Princess Brown noted that the indices on ground show that Gov. Akeredolu has done well for the teachers , so the teachers are charged to return Gov. Akeredolu for second term.
Hon. Tayo Fayanju in his remark said if the past administration could only provide one Mega school in eight years , the Gov Akeredolu led Government who has elevated teachers of public Primary school and raised their bar from Level 14 to 16 is the beautiful bride in the coming election. He promised them improved welfare package in the second term of Arakunrin Akeredolu.
Ondo SUBEB Chair, Princess Oladunni Odu congratulated the people of Owo who have gifted Ondo State Arakunrin Akeredolu, the Chief Executive of Ondo state, who is running for second term come October 10th.
Reeling out the achievement of SUBEB under Gov Akeredolu, Princess Odu said, ” between 2017 to 2020, 5414 teachers have been promoted while 441 teachers converted from NCE cadre to Degree cadre. I am delighted to tell you my noble teachers that in 2020, 644 teachers have been promoted and their letters are ready in the office.
” Our Governor is so passionate about the teachers that he has adopted the renovation of dilapidated structure of Primary schools across Ondo State which allows infrastructural development in our schools to go around rather than building one Mega School per one local government.
” I want to appeal to you to let the good work of Gov Akeredolu continue by giving our Governor your votes come October 10th,” Princess Odu added.
Chairman of Owo Local Government Council, Hon. Adegbegi Samuel while fielding questions from the polity.net said as far as the teachers of Owo and the people of Owo are concerned, their votes on election day will be used to reelect Arakunrin Akeredolu, the peoples’ choice for continuity in Ondo State.
Talking about the Guber poll, the council boss said all efforts are being put in place to prevent election violence, noting that the people of Owo are peace loving and they will not abandon Gov. Akeredolu.
Earlier at Ifon in Ose Local Government, teachers who spoke with thepolity.net among them, Mr. Poba Adedeji, Head teacher St Peters, Orihoin and Mrs. Abbey Cecilia, Head teacher Community Primary School, Idoani expressed appreciation to Gov. Akeredolu for effecting regular promotion of teachers and making it possible for Primary school teachers to access car loan.
NUT Chairman Ondo State, Comrade Victor Amoko reiterated the fact that Ondo State public Primary school teachers are not ingrates and they know where their bread is buttered. ” We have consulted among our colleagues and our resolve is that ourselves and our family members, our votes come October 10th is for Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,” Comrade Amoko emphasized.
