PDF gets APC leaders’ blessing in Akure north
Prof. Adedayo Faduyile has been assured of block votes by the people of Akure north and Ifedore Local Government. This assurance was given on Friday , the 12th June when the PDF team visited both local government areas on a consultation talk ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primaries billed for 20th of July.
At the parley in Iju/Ita Ogbolu, beside the rousing welcome, Prof. Faduyile also got elder’s blessings as the foremost stalwart of the Progressive in Akure north, Hon. Adesunloro, former member , House of Assembly in the old Ondo state offered him special blessings. Elder Adesunloro who said he knew the challenge of having to traverse all the nooks and crannies of the state canvassing for support assured Prof. Faduyile of the support of the APC rank and file in Akure north.
Comrade Ojo Stephen Temitope, former Principal of Oyemekun Grammar School, also an elder stateman, told Prof. Faduyile of the support of the people of Akure north; he however challenged Faduyile to hold steadfast to his plans , particularly the welfare scheme he promised the aged and the vulnerable people in the state. Comrade Ojo said as a labor person, who had also been in the trenches with his union, he quite well understands the demands , challenges and the success story of Prof. Faduyile as NMA President, expressing confidence in the quality leadership of the APC Governorship aspirant.
Barrister Bola Awodola in his own remarks said the leaders of the party in Akure north believe in the PDF candidacy and six point agenda, hence their resolve to give him massive support, advising him not to disappoint his supporters when his Political ambition turns a reality.
In his response, Prof. Faduyile thanked his horde of supporters from Akure north, expressing his profound appreciation for the reassuring gesture of cooperation and support they have given him. “Today I am impressed with the quality of the people of substance I have seen in this gathering and I am very grateful to be at the receiving end of the prayers of the elders in Akure north. I have listened to all the wise counsels and I want to add sincerely that none of these wise counsel would I underrate or overlook,” Faduyile assured.
He said his agenda towards reconstructing the development narrative in Ondo state include massive youth development, women empowerment and infrastructural development. Others are provision of free education for Primary and secondary school students , provision of free health care for the vulnerable ages 0-12 and 65 and above as well as agricultural empowerment.
Prof. Faduyile appealed to the party leaders to sustain their support for his candidacy so that it can engender a collective success come July 20th.
At Igbara Oke in Ifedore Local Government Area, APC youths and party leaders expressed confidence in the candidacy of PDF and equally pledged him their massive support.
