APC screening committee disqualifies Goodwin Obaseki

Feelers reaching the polity.net from Benin city, the capital of Edo state has it that the incumbent Chief Executive of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has been disqualified from contesting in the June 22nd APC primaries in Edo state.
According to the screening committee , Gov Obaseki’s disqualification is hinged on the discrepancy discovered in his degree certificate . Godwin Obaseki and two other APC Guber hopefuls were barred from contesting the Primaries.

At the screening Governor Obaseki was queried for the rationale behind his resolve to activate a gazette that could have made impossible the resolve of the party to hold a successful Primaries already scheduled for June 22.

It will be recalled that Governor Obaseki had earlier expressed his doubt on the outcome of the screening committee.

While Obaseki wanted an indirect Primaries, the national Chairman preferred Direct Primary.
