Sule Lamido knocks him for poor diploamcy.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has sent a firm admonition to the President Bola Tinubu led Federal Government not to plunge Nigeria into a needless war with her long time neihbour, Niger Republic.
The National Publicity Secretary of the opposition PDP, Dele Ologunagba made this known in a statement made available to newsmen. Ologunagba said except the President has other motive beyond settling the constitutional challenge in Niger, activating military action is needless as this will further deepen negative consequencies for Nigerian Democracy , particularly as the judgement from the petition arising from the Presidential election Court is in the offing.
The Peoples Democratic Party dropped the innuendo that the APC led federal government are motivated to go to war in their bid to forestall the timely wrap up of the petition against Bola Tinubu’s victory , which the opposition party claimed may sound the death knell on Tinubu’s tenure.
Ologunagba urged Tinubu to consider the need to prevent the escalation of the Niger crisis, noting that going to war with the Nigerian neighbour will tell on the security structure of the Northern states sharing border with Niger. Ologunagba also raised concern over the chances of increase in internal aggression as a result of Nigeria/Niger war , claiming that it will give rise to terrorism and murderous activities of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents. He charged Tinubu to focus his sight on what history will record about him.
Meanwhile, Pastor Tunde Bakare of The Latter Reign Assembly has advised President Bola Tinubu not to breech security protocol by engaging the Nigeriens in war, stressing that what has happened in Niger is a coup and not war. He said Tinubu should not be tempted to wear the Toga of the Africa Big Brother by instituting war campaign in Niger, warning that Nigeria can’t afford such waste of billions of tax payers fund and Army personnel simply to sustain a non existing ego of African champion.
Going further, Pastor Bakare noted that it will amount to a constitutional mistake on the part of Bola Tinubu to disobey the National Assembly, the highest law making body in the land, which has held back its support for attempt to wage war against Niger.
In a related development, former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido has described President Bola Tinubu as a neophite in International Diplomacy for assuming he can go to war with Niger over a matter of internal unrest caused by military take over of power in the country. Lamido said Tinubu might have conquered Lagos as a two term Governor and worked for the sustainance of his party as the ruling party over the years but it doesn’t confer any diplomatic acumen on the President , adding that his ‘ go to war’ poise has simply revealed his underbelly as someone who knows next to nothing about the subtle matter of International diplomacy.
The former Governor said if Tinubu orders Nigerian army to invade Niger , it will have spiral consequencies with blisthering backlash on his admimistration.
He called on President Tinubu to take advantage of the pool of intellectual resume of past Presidents of Nigeria , whom he said are better poised to offer diplomatic pieces of advice that will resolve the knotty issue in Niger rather than assuming that grandstanding the junta in Niger will make them run out the capital like some untrained and misguided men in khaki uniform.
He noted that this was not time for Tinubu to assume he could do it alone even as he added that it is for times like this that the constitution recognises the Council of State.
