Police arrest three notorious cultists in Ogun

Tamarauemi Ebimini

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three notorious cultists belonging to the Eiye Confraternity.

The suspects were identified as Dakwo Michael Jackson, Joel Obieva, and Oluwaseun Bamideke.

This was contained in a statement by the command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola.

Odutola said police officers, led by the Divisional Police Officer of Sango Ota, Saleh Dahiru, raided a school in the Joju area of Sango Ota, where the suspects were found planning their illegal activities.

During questioning, the suspects confessed that they were part of a larger gang of five members, with their leader still at large, according to Omolola.

The trio noted that they had planned to meet at the school before carrying out their planned operation.

The Police spokesperson, however, said that due to the swift action of the operatives of the Sango Police Division, they were apprehended before they could execute “their nefarious plans”.

Odutola added that the police are currently making efforts to track down the remaining suspects who managed to escape arrest, noting that the three suspects in custody will be charged to court once the investigation is completed.
