Princess Oladunni Odu stages victory road walk for Gov Akeredolu.

Talk of victory; it has sweet scent and evokes exciting sensation. Thus, the All Progressives Congress (APC) crowd and loyalists in Okitipupa were filled with pleasant excitement and overwhelming joy as soon as the final result of the Governorship poll was released.
The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu was announced winner of the Guber poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission. Governor Akeredolu ( SAN) polled 286, 135 votes to beat his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) of Peoples Democratic party (PDP) who polled193,348 votes. Also, Hon. Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party came distant third wit 66, 963 votes.
As soon as the result was announced and Governor Akeredolu declared as dully returned Governor of Ondo State, Princess Odu organized a victory walk round Okitipupa township amidst pump and exciting pageantry.
APC members in their huge number joined the walk in their bid to identify with the success story of the emergence of Gov. Akeredolu for second term.
The walk which started at the Market Road coursed through the long stretch of the swath road making up the Broad Street before connecting back through the junction beside Methodist High School Okitipupa.
Among the APC stalwarts who joined Princess Oladunni Odu to celebrate the heart warming announcement of Gov. Akeredolu’s second term victory were Basorun Thony Meduoye, Chief Akindele ( Coastal Hotel); Barr. Segun Lema, Hon. Oyewumi, and many others.
Basorun Meduoye who spoke with thepolity.net said the victory of Gov. Akeredolu is a good one that is worthy of the celebration. While congratulating Gov. Akeredolu, Basorun Meduoye advised him to be steadfast and execute his campaign promises to the latter.
Barr. Segun Lema said except lawyers want to mislead the opposition , the results of the poll does not need to be challenged at the tribunals as it was the factual commentary of the voters on the government of Arakunrin Akeredolu.
In her chat with the polity.net , the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board Chairperson and the convener of the victory road walk, Princess Oladunni Odu said the walk was meant to express the joy in the mind of the good people of Okitipupa about the government of Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who has just been returned by popular votes as the Governor of Ondo State. She thanked the people of Okitipupa who showed massive support and ensured a huge vote harvest for the incumbent Governor.
Princess Odu thanked Primary school teachers across Ondo State whom she appealed to and was not disappointed. She noted that all the promises made to the primary teachers in the course of the campaign for the election , shall be thoroughly granted , adding that Ondo State Governor is a man of his words and will put smiles on their faces.
