Regent of Ayeka visits Diocese on the coast’s Bishop’s court

In the course of reaching out to the people of Ikale with the Gen.Olu Bajowa’s COVID 19 relief package, the regent of Ode Ayeka, Princess Barrister Oluyemi Bajowa has paid a courtesy visit to the residence of the Bishop, Diocese on the coast, Rt Revd. Seyi Pirisola, at the Bishop’s court, Ilu Titun in Okitipupa Local government area.
A packet of nose masks and other relief materials were presented to the Diocesan on behalf of Gen. Bajowa , who is also a parishioner.
While responding, Bishop Seyi Pirisola thanked the donor, Gen. Olu Bajowa and his wife for giving back generously to the society, noting that giving is a virtue that gladdens the heart of God. He stressed that God appreciates gesture of giving cheerfully, praying God to continue to bless the household of Gen and Princess Olu Bajowa in multiple fold.
On COVID 19, The Bishop Diocese on the coast said, ” I have told my priests that the church is not on vacation though government has said no place of worship should open for now in their bid to curb the spread of coronavirus. I have charged them to use this period to be fervent in prayer to God in their churches , at the vicarage and not to just assume that the church is on vacation.”
Rt. Revd. Pirisola said if all churches’ doors are shut , it doesn’t mean we should shut our heart in supplication to God, adding that the take away from the coronavirus phenomenon is that God is gently nudging us to be closer to him in our fervent prayers. He challenged Christian faithfuls to raise their voice in unison to God to heal the universe.
The regent thanked Bishop Pirisola for receiving them warmly at short notice.
