Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has mandated the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Alfred Agboola Ajayi to relinquish all government vehicles and effects still within his reach to the General Administration Department.
Governor Akeredolu gave this charge in Akure, the Ondo State capital where he noted that it has been observed that some of state effects are still in the custody of the former Deputy Governor.
The normal routine is for elected and political office holders who have served government or have outlived their offices to hand over all government property to the appropriate accounting offices after their tenure.
Hon. Agboola Ajayi, one time Member House of Representatives served in the first term of Arakunrin Akeredolu as the Deputy Governor. However, due to differences in political alignment , he lost the opportunity to continue as Governor Akeredolu’s running mate having made up his mind to also made a reach for the Governorship of Ondo State on different political platforms.
