School fetes 15yr old SSS2 Student for 329 UTME scores.

A 15yr old student of Emplace College, Akure, Ms. Goodluck Bolaji Samuel, was celebrated for his outstanding performance in the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME, scoring 329 aggregate mark.

Young Goodluck, who is in SSS2 and science class, was called out for wonderful cheers at the assembly recently by the school management, which described his performance as a “prodigy of nature and precocious feat.”
He was born on June 17, 2002, a native of Ese-Odo LGA of the state and the third in a family of four; started his elementary education at Mummy’s Place International Nursery and Primary School, a subsidiary of Emplace College.
The celebrant got a state government scholarship due to his excellent performance in the placement examination to study at the Federal School of the Gifted, Suleja, but his parents brought him back to Emplace to complete his education.
He told The Polity that he only took a shot at the exam to test his ability, though he knew he would score high, never knew he would soar as high as being among the top three as at the last check by our correspondent in the ongoing UTME notification results released by JAMB.

Goodluck, who disclosed that the renowned neurologist, Dr. Ben Carson is his role model, said he would push further to add to the dearths of neurosurgeons in the country, though he intends to study medicine and be a heart surgeon specialist.
“I want to assure you that by the time I will write the next UTME exam next year, everyone should expect 380 and above from me,” he said.

The Proprietress of the school, Dr. Mrs Damilola Oshin, who presented a brand new HP laptop as gift for the student, affirmed that the school management would continue to reward hard work and excellence.
Oshin said the result is a testament to the transformation and academic excellence, which she said are the watchword of the school to educe the latent qualities and potentials of the students.
These, she said, go beyond the four corners of the school and transcend their future to mould responsible leaders that are tested in characters, values, learning and innovation.
“It takes an ordinary person to make an ordinary score, but it takes an extraordinary person to push further for extraordinary score.
“He is a good ambassador of this college, and as I look at you, you all have the same potentials and can do us more proud,” she said, urging other students to utilize their potentials for excellence.
Oshin encouraged him on his dreams to make the Black Race proud in his dream to achieving great medical stunts like Dr. Carson, assuring that the school would continue to guide him to achieve greater heights.
The Chemistry teacher of the subject which Goodluck scored highest mark, 95, Mr. Fredrick Obagboye, alongside others, expressed high hope and expectations for the rare gem. They described him as a rare genius.
