Sowore mourns Mary Ogunga, says young people’s death heart breaking

Human Rights activist and Social Crusader, Comrade Omoyele Sowore has bemoaned the sudden demise of Miss. Mary Ibiyemi Ogunga, student unionist and active leader of National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS).
Mary Ogunga’s death occured on Thursday after a brief illness. Prior to her death, she was already preparing to resume Law School having completed Law Degree at Adekunle Ajasin University, AAUA, Akungba Akoko.
In his reaction to Miss. Ogunga’s death as penned on Omoyele Sowore’s social media handle, the African Action Congress, AAC Presidential Candidate said, “it breaks my heart whenever young people die.
“I met Mary Ogunga a few times and she was an ambitious young woman, who overcame adversity, studied Law and graduated.
“She often told me that the very things that stopped most people her age in their tracks were the things she refused to allow to stop her.”
Sowore said he learned she passed away and the news deeply saddened him. ” I learnt today she passed away and I was deeply saddened by the news.”
He noted that his thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone whose lives she touched.
“May her courage, resilience and determination continue to inspire others.Rest in power, Mary,” Sowore concluded.
