Stella Maris College, Okitipupa, is set to commemorate its 65th anniversary with a three-day celebration scheduled for November 28–30, 2025. The milestone event will honour six and a half decades of scholarship, discipline, leadership development, and character formation at one of the region’s notable citadels of learning.
According to the Anniversary Celebration Committee, the programme will feature a public lecture, cultural displays, sports engagements, award presentations, and a grand homecoming of alumni from within Nigeria and the diaspora.
A key highlight of the anniversary is the commissioning of several Stella Maris Legacy Projects, alongside the launch of a ₦150 million Infrastructural Renewal Initiative. The initiative is expected to significantly upgrade facilities, strengthen classroom blocks, and enhance the overall learning environment of the college. Distinguished alumni, staff, and partners will also be recognised at an awards ceremony celebrating their contributions to the institution’s growth.
Describing the anniversary, the committee noted that it represents “a moment to celebrate our heritage, honour our past, and reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.”
The college extends a warm invitation to all alumni, partners, parents, and friends of the institution to join in marking this landmark occasion.
This statement was issued by Peter Olowu, Secretary, Planning Committee.
