Tinubu to critics: You deserve pity
– Steve Ovirih.
All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban Bogu, has for the first time after the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC made an official statement where he clarified his stand on the party, the NEC decision and his position on the much touted ambition he is alleged to be nursing come 2023.
In the official statement signed by his Media assistant, Mr Rahman, Chief Bola Tinubu said while a lot of Party men have shown their displeasure over the dissolution of the NWC, it tasks the resolve of all Progressives to show understanding if that’s the sacrifice we will all have to make in order to keep the soul of the party united. He said he has sacrificed a lot for the cohesion of the party and in as much as the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party took the decision to dissolve the NWC for the sole purpose of ensuring that the great Party doesn’t disintegrate, he has no scruples with the decision, calling on all aggrieved party members to show concern and committed sacrifice for the continuity of the APC which promises better progressive governance for the country.
Bola Tinubu however maintained that some people in their show of Political wizardry and attempt to play Nostradamus, the seer, have gone to town to say that the decision of APC highest ruling organ to dissolve Its NWC is meant to sound a death knell on his alleged 2023 Presidential ambition and downplay his Political relevance in the scheme of things. He described those trumpeting such opinion as neophytes who deserve pity rather than condemnation, reiterating the fact that he more than so many people contributed and invested so much in the success of All Progressives Congress and the joy he derives from the progressive governance he has helped put in place trumps the puerile sentiments bandied around by the pitiable fifth columnists.
He made it clear that those who are of such opinion have made themselves seers who assumed they can correctly say what will happen in 2023 , advising them to quit playing God in their ‘Pull him down hatred for the progressive brand he has come to be known for.’ Tinubu noted that he has not decided yet as regards his Political aspiration for 2023, but unfortunately for his detractors they have made a Presidential ambition he has not even given a thought yet their futuristic constipation, stressing that if there is anything at all those who felt the dissolution of the National Working Committee of APC was to harmstrung him deserve everybody’s sympathy.
The former Lagos Governor maintained that at this period of coronavirus pandemic which has affected virtually every part of the world, his concern is devising policy support that could help the Federal Government navigate this challenge rather than playing God over Political decision in far away 2023.
He stressed that the Progressive governance of President Muhammadu Buhari is what all of us , good people of Nigeria should collectively support so that the government can make more headways in making lives more better for the citizenry.
