65th Independence Anniversary: Prof. Faduyile charges Nigerians to have faith in Renewed Hope Agenda.

All Progressives Congress, APC , stalwart, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s ‘Blue Sapphire’ 65th Independence Anniversary. The 1st of October every year is set aside to celebrate Nigeria’s independence from British rule which spanned several decades of colonization.

In his Independence Anniversary statement which was made available to newsmen , Prof. Faduyile noted that six decades and half of independence for Nigeria tells a story of resilience and an unwavering hope in the unity of the nation state, adding that Nigeria as a nation has survived different turmoil in the political front that had put many nations asunder, thus celebrating a strong and virile nation at 65 is meet and proper.

He noted that the story of Nigeria had been fraught with all manners of challenges from the start , stressing that the Civil war though blighted the history of Nigeria, the conflict resolution mechanism deployed to end the civil war and how this had consolidated the structure of the nation state was a reflection of how committed national stakeholders are to the time tested theory of unity in diversity which has further buoyed the progress of Nigeria.

He noted that looking back at the labour of our heroes past , their commitment to Democracy and how the nation has enjoyed a free run and unhindered democratic practice since 1999, there is more reason to roll out the drums and celebrate Nigeria at 65. He said at a time in Nigeria, the unsolicited interregnum by military putschists had made Democracy quite farfetched but heroes of Democracy stuck their neck out and demanded for civil Governance, the benefit of which has made our independence worthy of celebration.

Prof. Faduyile urged Nigerians to continue to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as the most capable hand to pilot the affairs of Nigeria at this auspicious time , noting that the President has brought his experience as a dyed in the wool democrat, a financial advisor and expert par excellence and a proficient Public Administrator to bear on his office as the President of Nigeria. He noted that arm chair critics who wanted a sudden El Dorado should wake up from their indolent criticism and admit to the reality that on the economic front of Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu, things are looking up and getting better with a sure footed hope that politically and economically things can always get better for Nigeria.

Prof. Faduyile equally welcomed Nigerians to the month of October as he prayed God to continue to keep Nigerians hail and hearty to experience many more Independence Anniversary of a great and resilient nation.
