Faduyile leads Federal University of Education Kontagora,FUEK, Governing Council team on a courtesy visit to Niger Governor, promises all round development of new university.

The Chairman Governing Council and Pro Chancellor of Federal University of Education Kontagora,FUEK, Professor Francis Adedayo Faduyile,OON , has pledged that all efforts needed will be put in place to make the institution flourish and become the flagship of educational development in Niger state.
It will be recalled that Federal University of Education, Kontagora, formerly a Federal College of Education, FCE, got the Federal Government approval to be renamed a substantive Federal University , raising its status while giving the Governing Council a new charge to turn it to one of the leading education -inclined Federal Universities in Nigeria.
The assurance of making the university a flagship of educational development in Niger State and beyond was given by Professor Faduyile when he led the Governing council of the University to pay a courtesy call on the Niger state Governor, Umar Muhammad Bago at the state House in Minna.The Pro chancellor commended the Governor for all the commendable developmental strides of his administration and his unquantifiable contribution to the College of Education turned University since the Governing council was constituted by President Bola Tinubu in June this year.
The chairman Governing council particularly praised His Excellency, Gov.Bago for the various road network initiatives that are on going in the school; the unprecedented large scale agricultural revolution coupled with food security and love to serve the people ceaselessly which has earned him a big spot in the hall of fame among his peers , adding that what is happening in Niger state should be a case study to other governors in Nigeria.
In other to fast track the new Federal University of education Kontagora, Professor Faduyile on behalf of the governing council seek the support of the Niger state government for a 10 km road network construction within the University community linking all faculties, provision of fertilisers and farm equipment for the 15 hectares of land set aside by the University for farming purposes.
Professor Faduyile said the university governing council will collaborate and partner with the state government to fulfill the vision of developing manpower for the education sector of the host community, Niger state and Nigeria as a whole.
While commending the Governor for the 15 million naira already donated as part of preparation for the take off of the University, The Pro chancellor thanked the Governor for the approval of the 1,000 capacity Lecture theatre to be henceforth renamed as Farmer Umar Muhammad Bago Lecture theatre while one of the female hostels in the University has been renamed in honour of the state first Lady as Hajia Fatima Umar Muhammad Bago hostel.This honour, Professor Faduyile noted , will spur other public spirited individuals and large hearted men and women in Niger state to follow the footsteps of Governor Umar Bago and his wife,Hajia Fatima Bago to prioritise giving service to humanity above other personal interests.
