It was pomp, glitz and a touch of royalty in Walsall, United Kingdom, last weekend as family, friends and well-wishers staged a grand surprise for Prince Adeniyi Felix Adejugbe — the Ekiti-born crown prince fondly known as “Baba” — on his golden jubilee.

The prestigious Yasmin Banquet Centre hosted the colourful gathering, which drew dignitaries, professionals, church members and socialites in their numbers. The celebrant, visibly stunned at the massive turnout, was ushered into an evening of music, tributes, fine dining and dancing.

Oris Champion Band thrilled the hall with live tunes while the DJ ensured the dance floor never went cold. Guests were also treated to a moving documentary chronicling Adejugbe’s inspiring journey as a husband, father, Christian and community leader. Emotional testimonies from close friends and associates further highlighted his generosity and people-centred lifestyle.

As expected of a Nigerian party, food and drinks flowed without restraint. From continental platters to traditional delights, the amala and gbegiri combo proved the night’s favourite, washed down with exotic wines and assorted beverages.

Prince Adejugbe made a grand entrance in regal green aso-oke, later switching to a sleek black blazer suit. His wife, Enitan, sparkled in a dazzling black gown as the couple became the cynosure of all eyes during their graceful dance steps.

The celebration featured lively games, a towering birthday cake, and endless merriment that stretched into the night.

Among notable guests in attendance were Lawyer Goyega Ajibade, Pastor Olusola Oseni, Mummy Funke Okunribido, Mr. Femi Lawal, Mr. David Albert, Mrs. Bisi Adifagbola, Ms. Olanike Olatoye, and Mr. & Mrs. Olatunji, among others.

Prince Adeniyi Adejugbe’s 50th was more than a birthday — it was a celebration of life, legacy and leadership.

Happy 50th, Baba! Long live the Prince
