Armed men have unleashed terror on a church in Kogi State, violently abducting a pastor, his wife, and several members of the congregation. The attack happened during a church service, turning a place of peace into a scene of fear and chaos.

Witnesses say the gunmen, whose number remains unconfirmed, stormed the building suddenly. They disrupted the service, causing panic as worshippers scrambled for safety. The assailants were reportedly heavily armed, allowing them to take control of the situation without resistance.

The primary targets of the raid were the church’s pastor and his wife. The attackers seized them and forcibly took them away to an unknown location. Several other church members were also taken during the frightening ordeal.

Local security agencies have been alerted and are said to have begun a search operation. The police are currently investigating the incident and pursuing all leads to locate the victims and apprehend those responsible.

This latest incident adds to the growing concern over insecurity in the region, where kidnappings for ransom have become increasingly common. Communities are now living in heightened fear, questioning their safety even in sacred spaces.

As the search continues, families and the entire community wait anxiously for news. They are pleading with authorities for the swift and safe return of their loved ones, hoping this ordeal ends without tragedy.
