Giving is a gift, a natural talent not given to everyone. The giver is not really one who has in excess; he is not one who is superfluous with wealth. In the history of human development, those who give from what providence has blessed them with are very few in between and it is an altruistic gesture of those who have the milk of human kindness running in their veins.

 

With statistics that show a grim state of affairs as regards the economic challenges people have to grapple with everyday in Nigeria and records that show that average family in the grassroots live on less than a dollar per day, the society actually yearns for a flock of generous donors, genuine and not artificial givers, not those whose offertory are motivated by a transactional gesture of laying foundation for what they intend to get back in return from the poor and needy they tend to show plastic philanthropy.

 

Enter Omoyele Olabode, a giver with no strings attached who is blessed by Providence and whose philanthropy models after giving back to the society to help mitigate the harrowing effect of the poor economy among the people in the grassroots.

 

Born of Iju Odo parentage, plying his trade as a budding businessman in Lagos, Nigeria, Hon.Omoyele never disconnected from his roots and never felt like the challenges of his people was none of his business.

 

For Omoyele Olabode, offering fund as tokenism doesn’t really sync with his dream of proffering solution to the challenges of the people. He is the gladiator as a philanthropist who sees empowerment drive as a veritable prospects that can confront poverty hence his stride over the years in the area of providing massive empowerment for the people.

 

In an exclusive chat with this Ondo State born friend of the masses, he noted that a closer look at the experiences of the people indicate there is poverty in the land and to empower the people with resources stand a great chance of alleviating poverty in individual families, noting that since most of the people in the grassroots are subsistence farmers, providing empowerments in the area of farm implements can actually boost yields for farmers. This was the motive behind the massive empowerment embarked on by this friend of the masses in late 2025 in his country home of Iju Odo where empowerment worth mouthwatering millions of Naira were offered farmers across Ondo South. What is more? The widows, the aged, the youth and the indigents aside farmers equally benefited from the ember month 2025 largess of Hon. Omoyele Olabode. Was that the first massive empowerment from this calm and unassuming generous donor? Of course, the answer is no and it’s capital no.

 

Omoyele gives without raising dust about his intention and for this reason so many of his grassroots support gestures have gone unnoticed but Providence notices each and every of human gestures particularly for those who have made giving a way of life.

 

A widow and beneficiary of the Omoyele’s family support grant who spoke with newsmen had this to say, ” I do not know him from Adam but God has used him to offer this great assistance for me and my children. You see this fund,” she raised the bulky white envelope, ” it is like a balm from Gilead and it will go a long way in helping me and my children out of poverty. Since my caring husband has died, nobody has looked my way with any form of assistance as it has been all man for themselves. But when God looked down upon my poor case he sent Hon.Omoyele like an angel to help me with this generous donation,” she raised the bulky envelope again. Continuing, the middle aged widow said, ” I really don’t know how to thank him and I do not have anything I can even do to come close to appreciating him for this huge philanthropy but God will bless him.”

 

That is the humane gesture of support characteristic of Hon.Omoyele Olabode, a giver who is passionate about putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged people in his area. His resolve is simply hinged on reaching out and helping people to find their feet no matter how troubling the domestic economy.
