Senator Adeleke sat for Waec, had F9 in only paper sat for, WAEC tells court.

The West African Examination Council, WAEC, has informed a High court sitting in Abuja that contrary to the rumour making the rounds about Senator Ademola Adeleke, he actually sat for Waec in 1981 . The confirmation was in response to an order by the court on September 11th that the examination body should provide details of candidate Adeleke’s acclaimed 1981 WAEC result.
The order was made following a suit filed by Adekunle Raheem and Adam Habeeb.
Deputy Registrar and Head of School Examination Department WAEC , Mr. Henry Adewunmi Osidehinde in an affidavit sworn to on behalf of WAEC, maintained that Adeleke sat for the May /June examination in 1981 at Ede Muslim High School , Yidi Road Ede, and his Examination number was 149, while his Center no was 19645.
WAEC attached a copy of the results of all 122 candidates who sat for the MAY/ JUNE 1981 at Ede Muslim High School; in the attached result however, Adeleke who was listed as candidate 149 sat for only English language and scored F9.
Hearing in the case has been adjourned till September 25.
