Ondo South Senator, Distinguished Senator Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 66th independence anniversary of the country.

In a goodwill message issued to mark the October 1 celebration, as obtained by the polity.net, Senator Faduyile said Nigeria had every reason to celebrate despite its challenges, noting that the nation’s unity had remained unshaken for over six decades.

The lawmaker said the resilience of Nigerians in the face of economic and security challenges was a testament to the collective resolve to keep the country together.

He said, “I congratulate all Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora on the occasion of our nation’s 66th independence anniversary. It is a moment to reflect on our journey as a people and renew our commitment to building a prosperous nation.

“Our diversity remains our strength, and our unity is non-negotiable. Though we are faced with challenges, I am confident that with patriotism and collective effort, Nigeria will rise to occupy its rightful place among the comity of nations.”

Faduyile urged citizens of Ondo South in particular to continue to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the reforms being undertaken would yield positive results in no distant time.

He also called on Nigerians to be patriotic, law-abiding and to continue to pray for the peace and progress of the country.

“We must not lose hope in our country. Let us continue to support government at all levels and play our part as responsible citizens. The Nigeria of our dreams is possible,” he added.
