Chibok Girls to return soon – Lai Mo hammed

The hope that the remaining of the kidnapped Chibok Girls Shall soon return from captivity was once again raised by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

This positive expectation of their safe return was given in the course of the visit of the team of Bring Back our Girls and government team’s visit to Sambisa forest.
It will be recalled that Sambisa forest was the dreaded fortress of the extremist Boko haram militant group who had held the entire Northeast by the jugular since 2014 It took the concerted and sustained effort of the Nigeria armed forces to dislodge the insurgents from the the thick forest of Sambisa. The Boko haram militants had invaded Chibok community in April 2014, taking advantage of the lukewarm security situation of that era , they kidnapped in one fell swoop over 200 girls of Chibok studying for the final school certificate examination at federal girls government college, Chibok.
The Bring back our Girls team led by one time minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has continued agitation on the safe return of the remaining of the kidnapped girls of Chibok, stressing that the Federal Government need to do more than pay lip service to the attempt to ensure that there is no closure on the Chibok Girls kidnap saga until all the victims have safely returned.
The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed reiterated the resolve of the Buhari led administration to ensure the girls are rescued from the hands of their kidnappers. He also saluted the Nigeria armed forces for their giant stride in ensuring that the Northeast is not encumbered by the challenges of insecurity posed by the Boko haram insurgency.
