Adeleke gets 2nd term victory, wins Osun Guber poll with over 500,000 votes.

The incumbent Osun Chief Executive, Governor Ademola Adeleke has emerged victorious in the Osun State governorship election, securing another term in office.He garnered 511,067 votes to beat his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of APC who polled 448,815 votes.

Adeleke, who contested the election on the platform of the Accord Party, defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in what was described as a keenly contested poll.

The governor had previously contested and won the 2022 governorship election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but later left the party amid its internal crisis and joined the Accord Party to seek re-election.

Adeleke’s latest victory extends his tenure as governor of Osun State, according to the official declaration and certification of the results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC declared the result on Sunday morning, putting an end to an electoral process that had fixated all eyes on Osun state in the last 48 hours.
