Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Roberts Agboola Ajayi has for the second time within the spate of few months dumped another party for a new one.
The Ese Odo born politician has finally joined Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) from where he shall hope to slug it out with the other two major parties which candidates are also gunning for the Alagbaka State House come October 10th 2020.

Hon. Agboola Ajayi’s official defection to ZLP was celebrated by members of the party in Akure on Thursday, August 13th as mammoth crowd donning ZLP caps and customised orange polo shirts thronged the venue of the event.

Agboola Ajayi was received by Hon . Adelaja, state Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party as well as the national leader of the party and former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Segun Mimiko.

Hon Agboola Ajayi in his acceptance speech said he is not desperate as people may want to term his gesture as desperation, rather he was motivated by a genuine desire to return Ondo State to her position of pride among the comity of the component states making up the federation, noting that he is much more at home to be in the company of Dr. Mimiko , the Great Iroko of Ondo State and the master craft of the modern Ondo State.

The Ondo State Deputy Governor charged the good people of Ondo State to tarry a while as the ZLP is poised to provide succour to all the good people of the state.

The Kiribo born former Member, House of Representatives and Ondo Deputy Governor has emerged as the Governorship flag bearer of ZLP in the October 10th Guber poll. In a related development, Eng. Gboye Adegbenro from Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State has been announced by the party executive of ZLP as Agboola Ajayi’s running mate.

With the appearance of Ajayi as Governorship candidate of ZLP , the Ondo Guber poll has evolved into a three horse raise where the most favourable and most popular of the three major candidates will emerge victorious in an impending electoral battle royale.
