Ahead of APC primaries, Gov Akeredolu visits Abodi for prayers.

The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu has visited the palace of the Abodi of Ikale Land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile to seek royal blessings and pledge the support of his administration for the growth of the Southern senatorial district.

Governor Akeredolu was accompanied to the palace of the Abodi of Ikale Land by a retinue of government officials and political associates among whom were the Minister of state for Niger Delta, Senator Donald Tayo Alasoadura, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Oluwagbenga Ale, Member House of Representatives, Owo/Ose Federal constituency, Hon Timehin Adelegbe
Pastor .Olusegun Agagu, the Ondo State Commissioner for Education , Rt. Hon. Victor Olabintan, DG, Gov.Akeredolu’s campaign organization and Pro Dayo Faduyile (PDF).

Others were Mr. Donald Ojogo, Commissioner for Information and Orientation; Barr. Princess Oladuni Odu, Chairperson Ondo SUBEB, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi, Director General, Technical Aid Corp Abuja; Chief Adeyefa, DG PDF , Hon. Andrew Soga among others.

Governor Akeredolu at the palace of Abodi noted that his government has never undermined the strength of the people of the southern senatorial district of Ondo State and he has always shown allegiance to the district in his political appointments, stressing that the most important commission of this administration is headed by an Amazon from Ikale Land, Princess Oladuni Odu. The Governor also said the state Ministry of Education is headed by another notable Ikale son, Pastor Femi Agagu, maintaining that he has not been biased against the district and in his subsequent governance of the state in his second term, he won’t displace any bias against Ondo South senatorial district.
Soliciting voter loyalty for his candidacy at the APC primary slated for Monday, 20th July, Governor Akeredolu noted that in the time past he had not enjoyed a massive voters’ support in Ikale Land though that has never affected his good working relationship with Ikales, he added that he will look forward to a positive change of attitude among voters from the area in the coming election, stressing that there are so many good things to come for the district from the Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led government.

While advocating rotational governorship in the state, Gov Akeredolu said if the position of the state Governor rotates among the three Senatorial districts , no district will feel shortchanged and that has been his political standpoint and basis of appeal to the other contenders that the seat of the Governor had rotated to the central, it is in the north now and when he concludes his second term, it will rotate to the South and it will be going round all the senatorial districts in that order.

In his remark, the Abodi, Oba George Faduyile thanked the Governor for coming and appreciate his gesture of reposing trust in his sons and daughters in his administration. While praying God to make the Governor’s second term ambition a reality, he also prayed for a peaceful and prosperous Ondo State.

The Oniju of Iju Odo, HRH Oba Festus Olumoyegun offering Royal rites of blessing for Gov. Akeredolu appealed to God who makes aspirations a reality to bless Gov. Akeredolu’s second term bid with good success. He equally prayed for one of the son’s of the soil, Prof. Faduyile , who stepped down his governorship ambition to work with Gov Akeredolu towards realising the Governor’s second term that God will reward his virtue of loyalty.
