Christmas celebration : Faduyile enjoins christians to imbibe Christ’s values.
Professor Francis Adedayo Faduyile, OON, a past National President, Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has enjoined Christians in Ondo State and Nigeria in general to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ as the birth of Christ is celebrated.
In a special message personally signed by Prof. Faduyile , he urged Christian faithful to see this season as a time to reflect on the footprints of Christ regardless of the short period he spent on earth..” Today being Christmas day and celebrated all over the world as a mark of honour in remembrance of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I want to enjoin all Christians and Nigerians in general to learn from the characteristics of what Jesus taught, lived and died for. Jesus lived a life centered on doing good to others, a life that prioritises service to others above self interests and a life that sees every obstacle as stepping stone to attract the blessings of God”
Professor Faduyile implored Nigerians to use this season of ‘joy unlimited’ that heralded the birth of Jesus Christ to pray for Nigeria and her leaders, urging prayers for President Bola Tinubu, GCFR while stressing that Nigerians should support all the economic reforms and initiatives of government that will stabilize the economy and bring relief to greater number of the citizens.
The Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine urged all the good people of ondo state to pray for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as he prepares for his swearing in to begin his administration having gotten a freshly renewed mandate of the majority of Ondo State voters in the November Guber poll . He added that the Bible admonishes subjects to always remember those who are in government in fervent prayers.
Professor Faduyile implored all Nigerians to go about the Christmas celebrations with a heart of gratitude to God and expression of generosity to the less privileged, particularly by those who are blessed with adequate resources in the society.
The former Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Governor noted that Christ’s birth brings hope to the world and peace as well, urging all to celebrate Christmas moderately.
