Don’t allow Chieftaincy matters disintegrate your domain, Akeredolu tells Ondo Traditional rulers.

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has charged traditional rulers across Ondo State to hold firm the pillar of peace that can enable the development of their respective communities and kingdoms, noting that royal fathers who occupy exalted stools should not allow Chieftaincy squabbles to fragment their communities or instigate crisis of huge consequences in their domains.
Governor Akeredolu gave this charge at the official presentation of the instrument office and insignia of appointment to the new Owa Ale of Ikare Akoko, on Saturday, the 15th May, 2021.
The death of the former Owa Ale, Oba Samuel Adegbite, who joined his ancestors on t 1st of September, 2020 made the stool vacant until the selection and official presentation of the staff of office to Oba Adeleke Adegbite.
Ably represented by his Deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the event, Gov Akeredolu gave a stern note of warning that Government will not hesitate to wield the big stick against any royal personage who engages in any act of lawlessness in the state.
