The aspiration of Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim to become the APC Senatorial flag bearer for Ondo South has received a boost as a prominent youth leader of the party and former Special Assistant to Gov. Akeredolu, Hon. Funmi Gbologe has thrown his weight behind the ambition of the Araba of Ikale land to go to the Senate.
Hon. Gbologe in an exclusive chat with thepolity . net expressed his support for Ibrahim on the condition that he is better positioned to project the concerns of the district in the Red Chamber.
Gbologe said he has looked at the array of APC aspirants for the Senate seat and has come to the conclusion that Ibrahim is better suited to emerge as the winner of the shadow poll on Saturday, stressing that the cap fits him in all ramifications.
” When I visited Jimoh Ibrahim’s University of Fortune , I was elated and felt very proud that a son of Ikale soil has brought such institution. of international standard to our senatorial district. When I asked him what motivated him to build the world class university at Igbotako and he told me it was his humble contribution to humanity and the development of his homestead in Ondo South, I was impressed and was also motivated to drum support for his Senatorial aspiration.
Hon. Funmi Gbologe therefore called on the Ondo South Delegates to send their best hand, the most qualified candidate , who no doubt is Barr Jimoh Ibrahim , CFR, OFR to the Senate by voting him to become the Senatorial flagbearer of the ruling APC on Saturday.
