Ondo discharges first covid 19 index case

Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has said on Monday that the first index record of coronavirus in the state has tested negative to the virus twice and on his show of absolute recovery, has been discharged from the isolation center.
The Governor, while saluting the commitment of medical workers in the state said stiffer measures are being considered in order to curb the spread of the virus in Ondo state.
He said this while briefing the media on the covid 19 matters arising in Akure, the state capital. Governor Akeredolu said from Friday, the 24th April, it will be made compulsory for the residents of Ondo state to wear the face mask, noting that efforts are in place to ensure the commodity are mass produced so that it can cut across the people of the state.
It will be recalled that the state Governor has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in Ondo state in his bid to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus and to forestal cases of breakdown of law and order as people are asked to stay at home to avert a community spread of the virus, which is ravaging the world for the fourth month running.
