Osustech re-opens for new academic session.

[3/7, 9:19 PM] vinesworldcreation: Ondo state university of science and technology (osustech), okitipupa has resumed academic activities for the 2016/2017 session.
The resumption ends the six-week strike embarked on by the unions in the ivory tower. In a joint noticed signed by the Non academic staff union, senior staff association and the body of the university technologists, it was stated that their ongoing industrial action has been suspended and all members of staff are to resume to their duty post on the campus with immediate effect.

In his official remark which confirmed the commencement of the 2016/2017 academic session, the university’s Acting Registrar, Mr. Felix Akinnusi said the university has officially reopened and screening of 100 hundred level students was ongoing in the university, while stale students have begun course registration. Akinnusi maintained that members of staff are in high Spirit as they open for new academic session for the university undergraduates, more especially as the state now has a brand new Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, while the university as well has just gotten a new vice-chancellor, Prof. Sunday Ogunduilemi.
It will be recalled that the university’s unions had gone on strike on the 23rd of January, demanding the resignation of the former Acting vice-chancellor, Prof. Adegoke Adegbite, who was alleged of gross misconduct, corruption and abuse of office.
: The new Vice-chancellor, Prof. Ogunduyilemi will be the second full fledged Vice -chancellor of the university after the exit of Prof. Tolu Odugbemi.
