Police arrest 10 members of Eiye cult in Ogun

Ogun State Police Command has arrested 10 members of the dreaded Eiye confraternity who have been terrorising Sagamu and its environs in recent times. The suspects were arrested recently, by the anti-cultists unit of the Command.
Spokesperson for the Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the arrest was in continuation of operation clampdown on cultists embarked upon by the state police.
They are Adekoya Adesina, Ayinde Olumide, Tunde Banjo, Adebayo Jamiu, Ajayi Temitope, Taiwo Olatunji, Oladapo Ayeye, Gbenga Morufu, Johnson Adeyemi and Tunde Adenuga.
Oyeyemi said the suspects were apprehended following information received by men of the anti-cultism section that a group of cultists were converging at different locations in Odogbolu to unleash terror in Sagamu in continuation of the supremacy battle going on amongst the various cult groups in Sagamu and its environs.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Oladimeji, has ordered a massive manhunt for the remaining members of the group. He also vowed not to make the state conducive for cultists and other criminals, as the Command is ready to take the battle to their doorsteps.
