Prof. Faduyile congratulates Gov. Aiyedatiwa over tribunal victory.

By Steve Ovirih.

As the Ondo State Governorship election Tribunal finally settled the litigations arising from November 16,2024 Ondo Guber poll, affirming Gov. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the incontrovertible winner of the election, the former Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Governor, Prof. Dayo Faduyile has described the Tribunal pronouncement as an affirmation of the wishes of the good people of Ondo State.

Prof. Faduyile in a swift reaction to the Ondo Guber Tribunal ruling noted that the Petitioners have strengthened the electoral process by taking their grouse to the Tribunal , adding that the outcome of the Tribunal has also helped in consolidating the popular mandate of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr. Olaide Adelami, whose victory coursed through the 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State in a historic landslide victory, winning overwhelmingly in all the 18 Local government council areas.

It will be recalled that at the final submission of the Judges at the state election Tribunal, the petitions filed by the major opposition parties: Social Democratic Party (SDP), Allied People’s Movement (APM), People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) and Action Alliance (AA) were dismissed.

Prof. Faduyile said Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory at the Guber Poll reinforced the ‘ clean sweep’ sentiment for the first time in Governorship context in The Sunshine State, stressing that his victory is a mandate ordained by God, actualized by the massive voting strength of the people of the State and now adjudicated on with another ‘ clean sweep’ confirmation by revered members of the Tribunal. ” On this basis, Your Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, I join the good people of Ondo State to congratulate you over your serial victory from the primaries to the Guber Poll and now at the Tribunal,” Prof. Faduyile stated in his congratulatory statement.

He called on members of the opposition to join hands with the ruling party in Ondo State so that a collective effort of everyone who means well for the state can buoy the development approach with everyone bringing their lofty ideas towards advancing the cause of growth of Ondo State.

” Rest assured Your Excellency that you have the support of the good people of Ondo State whose massive votes at the poll made your election victory an easy walk in the park,” Prof. Faduyile added.
