Staunch All Progressives Congress, APC leader from Ondo South, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, has extended his hearty congratulations to the new Deputy Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ololade Gbegudu.

It will be recalled that the former holder of the exalted position in The Assembly, Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan resigned in deference to the emerging power equation and in his bid to key into the need for balancing of the power structure in the State. Akinruntan’s resignation, having been made known on the floor of the Assembly had given room for nomination of a new Deputy Speaker, which had given rise to the elevation of Hon. Ololade Gbegudu from Okitipupa Constituency 2.

Prof. Dayo Faduyile while reacting to the unanimous resolve of members of Ondo State House of Assembly on the emergence of Hon.Gbegudu in an official congratulatory statement made available to newsmen noted that the Lawmaker is a loyal party man and a committed Legislature with a reputation that has been identified over the years with progressive politics.

He added that Hon. Gbegudu is not known for equivocating when issues of developmental politics demand legislative attention, hence, it was not a surprise that his colleagues found him worthy of being elevated to the exalted office of The Deputy Speaker of the revered Assembly.

Prof. Faduyile charged him to continue to be steadfast in his legislative duties, while stressing that he should not relent in consolidating on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s drive in advancing economic and sociopolitical growth of The Sunshine State.

From Ondo South Senatorial District, Hon. Ololade Gbegudu is the third Deputy Speaker to have so far emerged in the State Assembly as his predecessors to the exalted office have been Hon. Ogundeji Iroju from Odigbo and Hon. Prince Abayomi Akinruntan from Ilaje.
