Olabode charges fathers to sustain love, leadership at home
As today marks the global day of the fathers, a candid advice has gone out to all fathers particularly in Christiandom to continue to sustain love and their leadership in the home front .
Olabode Omoyele, an Igbotako born business magnate and politician dropped this advice in his Father’s Day statement and greetings to the patriarchs across homes.
He noted that God has placed a burden of love and leadership on the shoulders of men and this is a sacred responsibility that no man should take for granted. The pillar of this responsibility according to Mr. Olabode is the need for men to place themselves as place holder between Christ and the home. ” The way Christ love the church and fends for it is the way the patriarchal system of our society should love their wives and their children. There is a radiating satisfaction always in the countenance of children who are shown care and love by the father figure in their life,” Olabode emphasized.
He said most dysfunctional homes are as a result of the absence of a father figure, stressing that children tend to listen obediently to fathers who cater to their needs.
While calling on fathers not to abandon their strategic duty of fending for the homes, he noted that in home administration, fathers give direction and they are the bulwark and defence structure of the home when storms of life comes.
Olabode however called on mothers to love their husbands and shower them with appreciation for their commitment to the home front. He condemned some household patterns of some house wives whose stock in trade is to nag the men in their life no matter the way such men have shown commitment in the home front.
Rounding off his Father’s Day greetings and while congratulating fathers on their special day, Olabode pray God to make fathers too to live long to ripe old age as mothers do in Africa, nay, Nigeria.
