PDP group accuses National Body of bias on Eddy Olafeso’ s guber ambition

A group within the People’s Democratic Party in Ondo state, PDP solidarity forum has accused the national working committee of PDP of bias concerning the governorship candidacy of the party’s national Vice chairman south west, Olorogun Eddy Olafeso.
The group speaking through its coordinator, Yemisi Aromolaran said the group has observed a strong bias against PDP , noting that the party seems to be building a support base on the governorship ambition of Chief Olafeso at the expense of other Guber hopefuls withing the party across the state.
Aromolaran revealed that it is acceptable for Olorogun Eddy Olafeso to decide on the affairs of the party across the states in the South West as the party’s nation vice chairman , but equity demands that this key national officer of the party cannot weigh in on his influence when it comes to his governorship ambition in Ondo state, adding that fairness demands that Olorgun Olafeso should relinquish his position to create a level playing field between him and other candidates for the PDP ticket in the forthcoming governorship primaries.
The group called on the national body of the party to take their petition and observation on the issue raised seriously, noting that Olorgun Eddy Olafeso is eminently qualified to vie for the governorship position in Ondo state on the platform of the PDP but having superintendent over the affairs of the party in the South West leading to the success of the party by clinching Oyo state for PDP, it will create a sense of bias if he continues to superintendent over the affairs of the south west region having declared his ambition to become the state Governor.
It will be recalled that Olorogun Eddy Olafeso, former commissioner for information and culture in Ondo state during the era of Chief Olusegun Agagu as the state Governor, has officially announced his interest to vie for the Governorship position in Ondo state. Advert boards showing his readiness to participate in the primary of the PDP are in noticeable and strategic places in his local government area, Okitipupa , and other parts of the state.
