A prominent Nigerian religious leader has issued a stark warning of major internal conflict within the country’s ruling party. Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church predicts that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will face serious betrayal and division from within its own ranks.

He specifically cautioned President Bola Tinubu and the APC to prepare for a looming internal crisis. This warning was delivered as part of Ayodele’s annual prophecies, which this year focused on Nigeria’s political future.

The cleric stated that the party must be extremely vigilant to survive the coming storm. He suggested that several state governors from the APC are likely to turn against the party’s leadership in the run-up to the 2027 general elections.

Such internal fractures, he argued, threaten to weaken the party significantly before voters go to the polls. This internal rebellion could damage the APC’s unity and its chances in the election.

Ayodele’s prophecies also covered the nation’s security challenges and economic direction. However, the prediction of political betrayal within the ruling party stands out as a direct alert to the current administration.

The warning places public attention on the stability of the ruling party nearly three years before the next presidential election. It remains to be seen how the party leadership will respond to this forecast of internal discord.
