Four men are dead after armed bandits, fleeing a military operation in a neighboring state, struck villages in Kogi State. The violent attack has left communities in fear.

According to a security report, the attackers entered Kogi on Thursday morning. They came through hidden bush paths from Kwara State, riding on motorcycles.

The bandits moved through the communities of Bunu and Kiri, shooting guns randomly. This reckless violence took the lives of four local men, who have been identified by name.

Witnesses stated that the armed group then moved towards a forest near Obajana. Intelligence sources believe the attackers are now hiding in the area around Masalacin Boka.

Security forces have now stepped up their efforts in response. Their goal is to protect the frightened residents and stop any further violence from occurring.

This incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region, as conflicts spill across state borders, putting innocent lives at risk.
