Ilaje Primary School teachers Pledge support for Governor Akeredolu.

Teachers in public Primary schools in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State have resolved to give their overwhelming votes to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu come October 10th Governorship election in Ondo State.

The teachers had a public session with the top management members of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) at the NUT House, Igbokoda.

Princess Funmi Brown, a member of the SUBEB Board , while addressing the teachers at the event said better days are ahead for Ondo State teachers and for the lofty Programmes the state Governor has for teachers to continue, the onus is on SUBEB teachers to vote for Governor Akeredolu.

While drumming support for the second term bid of the State Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu, Princess Oladuni Odu said the people of Ilaje are poised to enjoy much more benefits in Governor Akeredolu’s second tour of duty as Ondo State Governor.

The Idepe born politician and APC strong woman noted that the Sea Port project of Gov. Akeredolu which is already in the pipeline will expand the economic world view of Ilaje nation as more jobs will be available for the youths of the area. She said for the Mega Deep Sea Project to see the light of the day , all lovers of development must vote Gov. Akeredolu again.

On teachers welfare, Princess Odu reiterated that 5,314 teachers have benefitted from massive and continuous promotion exercise while over 414 teachers have successfully converted from NCE to Degree. Equally, over 6408 teachers have benefitted from training and retraining of teachers as facilitated by SUBEB.

Princess Oladunni Odu therefore solicited for the votes of all the teachers of public Primary Schools in Ilaje for Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the forthcoming Guber poll in Ondo State, stressing that with the victory of Gov. Akeredolu at the polls more welfare package await the teachers

In his reaction, State Treasurer, NUT Ondo State, Comrade Akiri Ebikhiboh Ibakedeghin appreciated SUBEB Ondo State and Princess Odu for the pro welfarist stance of the Board which has made it possible for primary school teachers in Ondo State to be able to compete confidently well with their colleagues from other states.

The Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Council, Hon. Goke Jatuase, who until his election was the Executive Secretary of Local Government Basic Education Board (LGUBEB) Ilaje Local Government, thanked Princess Odu for the timely visit and assured her and other members of her Board that the teachers in Ilaje will use their votes to return Gov. Akeredolu for second term so that the good work of Arakunrin Akeredolu can run hitch free and unimpeded for another four years.
