Reno Omokri, a former critic, has publicly praised President Bola Tinubu as “Christlike” following his nomination as an ambassador. This dramatic shift comes two years after Omokri vowed he would never work for the Tinubu administration.

In a lengthy statement, Omokri expressed his deep gratitude to President Tinubu for the nomination. He described the President’s action as a profound lesson in “forgiveness” and “patriotism.”

Omokri’s praise for the President was exceptionally high. He directly stated, “Christlikeness is demonstrated in him,” comparing Tinubu’s character to that of Christ. He declared the President to be “the right man, at the right time, for the right job.”

This nomination marks a major reversal for Omokri. He acknowledged that he had been a “foe” to the President’s supporters for three years due to his past political stance.

Omokri also extended his gratitude to National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, calling him a man of immense “goodness.” He also thanked his wife for her support during his years of opposition.

The statement signals a full political reconciliation for the former presidential aide. He now urges all Nigerians to offer the President their “right hand of fellowship.”

Omokri concluded with prayers for the prosperity and unity of Nigeria under President Tinubu’s leadership, solidifying his new position as a supporter of the administration.
