Prof.Faduyile salutes emergence of Olamide Oladiji, Abayomi Akinruntan as Speaker, Deputy Speaker 10th Ondo State House of Assembly.

– Steve Ovirih.

Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, has described the emergence of Rt. Honorables Olamide Oladiji and Abayomi Akinruntan, respectively as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 10th Ondo state House of Assembly as a salutary development , noting that it is the putting of a round peg in a round hole.

The Special Adviser to Ondo State Government on Health made this known in an exclusive chat with thepolity.net after members of the 10th Assembly elected their two major arrow heads.

Faduyile, the former President of Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, who is from Ondo South Senatorial district, the same Senatorial zone of the new Deputy Speaker, maintained that the two leaders of the Assembly are eminently qualified for the position as they have been long standing members of the House and have already gathered adequate legislative acumen to help them navigate the demanding tasks of their new legislative tour of duty, noting that they are visionary leaders and outstanding representatives of their respective Constituencies.

Prof. Faduyile while congratulating them also extended his hearty wishes to all the legislatures who were officially inaugurated on Saturday, charging them to sustain the solid legacies of the 9th Assembly which just winded down.

While Faduyile stressed the need for the parliamentarians to maintain the independence of the legislative arm, he also advised the lawmakers to endeavor to be on the same page with the Gov. Akeredolu led government of Ondo State , noting that Gov. Akeredolu has set a template for the all round development of Ondo State as unveiled in the Governor’s legacy ‘ Redeemed Agenda,’ which he said has continued to yield dividends of democracy for the good people of Ondo State.

” I congratulate all the Lawmakers for their success at the Assembly election which has returned them to the House either as first timers or as old members .

” I also heartily rejoice with the Right Honourable Speaker Olamide Oladiji and his Deputy, my brother from the Southern Senatorial District, Rt.Hon. Prince Abayomi Akinruntan. With the emergence of these two experienced legislatures, the 10th Assembly is no doubt in safe hands and the people of Ondo State can rest assured of smooth legislative tenure that will be geared towards promoting positive legislative governance, ” Prof. Faduyile stressed.
