Rate of community spread has reduced – Boss Mustapha

The chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Covid 19 , and Secretary Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha has given a cheery news on coronavirus disease which its curb the nation has been battling in the past three weeks.
The Presidential Task Force on Covid 19 Chairman made this known to the press after the briefing on coronavirus with the President.
Mr. Mustapha enthused that the two week lockdown has helped reduced the community spread of the virus while contact tracing of people who had had contact with victims of the virus have been easier to conduct.
Boss Mustapha also used the medium of the briefing to thank DG Nimasa, Mr. Jahmo for the supply of personal preventive equipment PEP and other aids and kits to the Federal Government, stressing that other government agencies should borrow a leaf from NIMASA. He also expressed the goodwill of the covid 19 task force to all Nigerians in this trying time of the lockdown. He said no sacrifice is too huge to pay by all well meaning Nigerians to ensure we did not get to the stage of full blown pandemic of the virus. He also added that we should be wary of the fact that the pandemic will overwhelme us if it is allowed to spiral over as we do not have enough facilities to manage the health crisis that could follow. He assured Nigerians that the Federal Government , the task force, and other concerned agencies of government are putting in their best to ensure that the challenge of community spread of the coronavirus is checked.
The President, Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, the 13th April announced the extension of the lockdown of Lagos, Ogun and the FCT Abuja by two weeks, which will now terminate by April 27th.
