‘Accusing Aiyedatiwa of Anti-Party Activities Is Inhuman’ — Poroye
The Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Prince Olabiyi Olaleye Poroye, has described allegations that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is involved in anti-party activities as “an act of inhumanity.”

Poroye made the declaration while meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress in Ilaje Local Government Area, including local government executives, councillors, ward chairmen, secretaries and other party stakeholders at the OSOPADEC Area Office in Igbokoda.
The OSOPADEC chairman urged APC members to close ranks, reconcile their differences and intensify grassroots mobilisation, saying the party’s collective interest should take precedence over personal disagreements.
“Aiyedatiwa has never played anti-party politics. Don’t sabotage the Governor’s name,” Poroye said.
He advised party members to embrace dialogue and political maturity in resolving disputes, stressing that politics required strategy and careful planning.
“Politics is not love affairs. Politics is in the brain,” he said.
Poroye also charged APC councillors and other elected representatives to maintain close contact with their constituents and ensure that government appointments, employment opportunities and empowerment programmes were distributed equitably.
On flooding and erosion affecting parts of Ilaje, he said OSOPADEC had prepared a proposal for government intervention.
According to him, the commission is also working towards collaborating with the Ministry of Environment and local government authorities to map affected areas and develop sustainable drainage and channelisation solutions.
Poroye further disclosed that OSOPADEC had adopted a policy of completing existing and abandoned projects before embarking on new ones.
He added that the commission was also exploring measures to create more employment opportunities for youths and expand its empowerment programmes.
APC leaders in Ilaje commended Poroye for his reconciliation initiative and efforts towards grassroots development, while ward secretaries appealed for their prompt formal recognition within the party structure.
