Armed men have launched another violent attack on a community in Kwara State, resulting in mass kidnappings and a killing. The assault, which happened recently, has deepened fears about security in the region.

Reports confirm that seventeen people were forcibly taken from their homes by the attackers. Among those abducted are members of a family who had just paid a ransom to free a relative from a previous kidnapping.

During the raid, the gunmen also shot and killed an elderly woman. She was unable to escape the violence that unfolded in the community.

This new attack highlights a worsening cycle of violence and kidnapping for ransom in the area. Families are being repeatedly targeted, even after meeting the financial demands of the assailants.

Local authorities have been notified of the incident. Security forces are now reportedly searching the area in an effort to locate the victims and apprehend the attackers.

The community has been left in a state of fear and mourning. Residents are calling for increased government protection to prevent further tragedies.
